Sonamarg, Sep 15 (KNO): Work has officially started on the much-awaited Children’s Play Park at the famous Sonamarg resort in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district, bringing cheer to families and tourists, who frequent the scenic destination.
Officials told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the project aims to create a dedicated recreational space for children, ensuring Sonamarg continues to grow as a family-friendly tourist hub. The play park will feature modern amenities, green spaces, and fun activities, making it a perfect blend of leisure and natural beauty.
“This initiative will not only add to the charm of Sonamarg but also provide families, especially children, with a safe and joyful environment. The park will become a place where fun, laughter, and Himalayan memories come together,” said an official overseeing the project.
Locals have also welcomed the move, saying it was a much-needed facility. “We have been waiting for something like this for years. It will encourage more families to visit Sonamarg and spend quality time here,” said Bashir Ahmad, a local resident.
